• يحرص قسم الأمراض الصدرية بكلية الطب – جامعة دمياط على تخريج طبيب يتمتع بدرجة عالية من المسؤولية، ويمتلك خبرة ومهارة إكلينيكية متقدمة.
• كما يحرص القسم على تخريج طبيب قادر على المنافسة في أي مكان يعمل به على المستوى العالمي، اعتمادًا على ما يمتلكه من خبرة وكفاءة مهنية.
• ويؤكد القسم على أن يكون الطبيب على دراية كافية بالأمراض الأكثر انتشارًا في المجتمع المصري، ولا سيما الأمراض الوبائية، مع القدرة على التواصل الفعّال مع المجتمع وتوجيهه إلى الأساليب الصحيحة للتعامل مع هذه الأمراض.
• ويحرص القسم كذلك على تخريج طبيب لديه معرفة كافية بأسس وأخلاقيات البحث العلمي، وفقًا للإمكانات والظروف المتاحة.
• كما يلتزم القسم بتخريج طبيب يتحلى بأخلاقيات دينه وعرف مجتمعه في تعامله مع مرضاه.
• ويسعى القسم أيضًا إلى أن يكون خريج كلية الطب – جامعة دمياط واجهة مشرفة للكلية، ويسهم في رفع مكانتها بين الكليات الصحية الأخرى.

Mission

The Department of Chest Diseases at the Faculty of Medicine, Damietta University, is committed to graduating physicians who demonstrate a high level of responsibility and possess advanced clinical expertise and skills

The department also aims to prepare physicians who are capable of competing professionally in any workplace worldwide, supported by their solid experience and clinical competence

In addition, the department ensures that graduates have adequate knowledge of the most prevalent diseases within Egyptian society, particularly epidemic and endemic conditions, and are able to communicate effectively with the public and provide appropriate guidance on the proper management of such diseases

The department is further committed to graduating physicians who have sufficient understanding of the principles and ethics of scientific research, in accordance with the resources and opportunities available

The Department of Chest Diseases also emphasizes graduating physicians who adhere to the ethical values of their religion and societal norms in their interactions with patients

Moreover, the department strives to ensure that graduates of the Faculty of Medicine, Damietta University, serve as distinguished ambassadors of the college and contribute to enhancing its standing among other health-related institutions
