الأهداف

أولًا: الأهداف التعليمية (مرحلة البكالوريوس)

1. إكساب طلاب مرحلة البكالوريوس المعارف الأساسية المتعلقة بتشريح ووظائف وأمراض الجهاز العصبي التي تتطلب تدخلًا جراحيًا.
2. تنمية مهارات الفحص العصبي والتقييم الإكلينيكي الأولي للحالات العصبية الجراحية.
3. تدريب الطلاب على مبادئ التعامل الآمن مع مرضى جراحة المخ والأعصاب في أقسام الطوارئ والعيادات.
4. تعزيز مهارات التفكير النقدي واتخاذ القرار الطبي المبني على الأدلة العلمية.
5. غرس القيم المهنية وأخلاقيات الممارسة الطبية والعمل ضمن الفريق الصحي.

ثانيًا: الأهداف الخدمية (الخدمة الطبية المزمع تقديمها)

1. المشاركة في تقديم خدمات تشخيصية وعلاجية وجراحية متخصصة لمرضى جراحة المخ والأعصاب بالمستشفيات الجامعية.
2. المساهمة في رفع كفاءة الخدمات الطبية المقدمة في حالات الطوارئ العصبية والإصابات.
3. تطبيق معايير السلامة وجودة الرعاية الصحية في جميع الإجراءات الطبية والجراحية.
4. دعم التكامل بين التعليم الطبي والخدمة العلاجية بما ينعكس إيجابًا على صحة المجتمع.

ثالثًا: الأهداف البحثية والمجتمعية

1. تشجيع البحث العلمي التطبيقي في مجالات جراحة المخ والأعصاب ذات الأولوية الصحية.
2. إشراك الطلاب في الأنشطة البحثية بما ينمي مهارات البحث العلمي.
3. المساهمة في التوعية الصحية المجتمعية بالأمراض العصبية وطرق الوقاية منها.
4. دعم الشراكات العلمية والطبية مع الجهات المعنية محليًا.

Objectives

 Educational Objectives (Undergraduate Level)

To provide undergraduate students with essential knowledge of the anatomy, physiology, and diseases of the nervous system requiring surgical intervention

To develop students’ skills in neurological examination and initial clinical assessment of neurosurgical cases

To train students on the principles of safe patient care in neurosurgery outpatient clinics and emergency settings

To enhance critical thinking and evidence-based medical decision-making skills

To instill professional values, medical ethics, and teamwork principles

 Clinical Service Objectives (Planned Medical Services)

To participate in delivering specialized diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical neurosurgical services at university hospitals

To contribute to improving the quality of emergency neurosurgical and trauma care

To apply patient safety and healthcare quality standards in all medical and surgical procedures

To promote integration between medical education and clinical service for the benefit of community health

 Research and Community Service Objectives

To encourage applied scientific research in priority areas of neurosurgery

To involve undergraduate students in research activities to develop research skills

To contribute to community health awareness regarding neurological diseases and prevention strategies

To support scientific and medical collaboration with relevant local institutions
